Human Resources Coordinator / Recruiter - Maui Location: Wailuku, HI Salary: $22 - $25 Hourly Considering in-state candidates at this time.
Job Summary:
- Provides administrative support to the human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
- Plays a pivotal role in acquiring top talent for the organization by working closely with hiring managers and developing effective recruitment strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists in organizing and attending recruitment events, career fairs, and campus interviews.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process, including posting job ads and utilizing ATS.
- Attracts, screens, interviews, and onboards qualified candidates aligned with company values and objectives.
- Partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment plans.
- Sources candidates through various channels.
- Maintains accurate records of candidate information and recruitment activities.
- Conducts preliminary screenings and coordinates interviews.
- Participates in employer branding initiatives.
- Prepares new-employee files and assists with onboarding.
- Assists with performance reviews and terminations.
- Performs clerical functions and other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Working understanding of human resource principles.
- Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
- Ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
- At least two years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Availability to travel occasionally for recruitment events.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, occasional nights and weekend shifts for events
Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour, depending on experience
