Job Description

We are hiring an Opto Mechanical Technician to join our team! You will assemble, align and deploy to the field state-of-the-art Adaptive Optics systems, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Member of an Integrated Product Team that assembles and aligns our optical systems according to prints and layouts
Complete assigned projects in a timely manner
Perform occasional and varied light facility maintenance tasks as required
Adhere to safety policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience assembling and aligning moderately complex optical systems and components is highly preferred
Previous experience in production, manufacturing or other related fields
Electronics cabling and terminating experience a plus
Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and timelines
Ability to travel and install our systems in remote locations
Note: due to contract requirements, must be a US citizen

HartSCI is an optical engineering and software development company that specializes in improving high resolution imagery from ground-based telescopes. We design and build Adaptive Optics systems for DoD, academic and commercial applications and have developed a software package that predictively models the optical system performance of the prospective sensor package. HartSCI currently has several DoD programs under way and are expanding our role in supporting the Space Domain Awareness mission. We also team with major prime contractors in support of their programs for the government. Our staff includes PhD's, engineers and technicians and our team excels in agile development of our programs.
