Job description

VIP Staffing is immediately hiring a Mechanical Assembly Technician for a leading organization in Albuquerque, NM.
This is a Full-Time temp to hire position with a schedule of Monday- Friday 6am- 2:30pm.
Pay for this position is $20-$25 DOE.

As a Mechanical Assembly Tech, you will:
  • Assemble large tanker trucks in an outdoor environment.
  • Assemble mechanical components.
  • Assemble electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to Tanker truck chassis.
  • Help and assist maintenance tech when needed.

Mechanical Assembly Tech candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
  • Highschool Diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedure manuals and blueprints.
  • Basic knowledge of learning and numeral ability.
  • Have good eye-hand coordination.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive work and follow verbal instructions.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Able to stand, bend, climb and stoop for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to use equipment to help lift miscellaneous steel parts, assemblies that may weight up to several thousand pounds.
  • Must be able to push, pull or drag suction hose on to tanks that weigh anywhere from 10 - 100 lbs.
