Job description

Mechanical Assembly Technician  
 
Pay Rate  
$20 per hour
 
Schedule and Hours  
Monday through Friday, 5:00am-3:30pm 
 
Mechanical Assembly Technician Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished equipment using hand and power tools. 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications. 
  • Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustments to ensure proper operation. 
  • Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. 
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and make necessary corrections. 
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records. 
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies. 
  • Keep work areas clean and organized using 5S principles. 
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production goals.
 
Mechanical Assembly Technician Qualifications and Requirements 
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
  • Ability to interpret assembly drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and production reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical school or vocational training in mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or related field.
  • Experience with conveyor systems, industrial equipment, or manufacturing assembly.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
