Mechanical Engineer Intern-High School

Core Responsibilities:
• Support and assist with developing and testing manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues – problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Support operators and setup personnel/technicians on the assembly floor
• Support testing and validation of existing and new products in development or production.
• Learn to generate and update CAD drawings via SolidWorks.
• Maintain product data including product definition documents (drawings and specifications), Bills of Material, and other supporting documentation
• Support product and process brainstorming and design activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Develop a general understanding of Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional communication of technical data.
• Planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• How to work through challenges that occurring the manufacturing process.
• Developing a better understanding of CAD tools like SolidWorks
• How to learn and meet the needs of various customers in a corporation through engineering design and communication.
Requirements:• High School Senior Student that has enrolled and has committed entering their freshman year of college who is looking for a practical understanding of Mechanical Engineering
• Willingness to learn and participate where asked by Senior Engineers and Management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of CAD software.
Internship Details:
• Program will last 9-10 weeks from start date with 3 days a week during that time period.
