Summary
We are seeking four qualified special education teachers to join our team, two at an elementary school and two at a Jr. High School. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with students with mild to moderate disabilities and a strong understanding of evidence-based instructional practices.
What you will be doing:
We are seeking four qualified special education teachers to join our team, two at an elementary school and two at a Jr. High School. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with students with mild to moderate disabilities and a strong understanding of evidence-based instructional practices.
What you will be doing:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction in core academic subjects, paralleling the regular classroom curriculum
- Collaborate with regular education teachers to integrate special education students into the general classroom setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and other team members
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed
- Provide behavioral support and social-emotional development opportunities
- Communicate regularly with parents and professional staff to keep them informed of student progress
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field
- Valid California teaching credential in mild/moderate special education
- Minimum of three years of experience teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices for students with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
