Job Description

SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform testing on Wire Harness Assemblies and components according to automotive specifications and standards.
Work with Wire Harness Business Units and DVP&R to generate validation plan, implementation of testing environment and execution of the validation plan and management.
Collect test result data and present report to Design Engineer or to the customer as required.
Develop and maintain testing standards per customer requirements.
Analyze test failure data and utilize problem solving techniques to prepare evaluation summary reports.
Perform continuous improvement activities and exhibit good documentation control based on ISO/TS requirements.
Develop detailed work procedure/instructions for testing based on the specifications provided.
Good communication and teamwork. Able to provide daily direction to Test Technician.
Maintains safety and housekeeping at all times.
Able to utilize CAD data to design test fixtures.

MINIMUM POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

1-3 years of experience in testing and validation of wire harness and/or electrical/electronic components.
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Technology or equivalent degree required.
CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, Inventor, CATIA) is a plus.
