Job Description

Service Writer - Warranty Claims Specialist

Join the State Tractor Equipment team as a Service Writer and warranty Claims Specialist. You'll be the vital link between our customers and their repair needs, including warranty claims processing. You'll ensure seamless communication and satisfaction by managing repair documentation and customer expectations, particularly regarding warranty repairs.

Responsibilities

· Create accurate cost estimates, log required parts, and determine repair timeframes, including processing warranty claims.

· Efficiently schedule Service Technicians for each job, considering expertise and workload.

· Communicate all pertinent information, such as costs, parts, and technician assignments, clearly to customers.

· Arrange appointments with customers and facilitate discussions to understand their needs thoroughly.

· Relay customer requirements to Service Technicians effectively.

· Inform customers about additional work, providing details and associated costs.

· Enter comprehensive repair job details into the company's network and prepare clear repair instructions, including warranty specifications.

Requirements and Skills

· Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role, focusing on warranty claims processing.

· Proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with office software programs.

· Exceptional communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.

· Excellent record-keeping abilities to ensure accurate documentation of repairs and warranty claims.

· Capacity to comprehend and articulate technical issues to the service team based on non-technical customer descriptions.
