What You’ll Do:

Our Gymreapers family is growing and we’re adding the VP, Performance Marketing role to the team! Gymreapers is looking for a seasoned VP of Performance Marketing to lead the customer acquisition and retention functions for the company across channels including social, mobile, offline, search, email and beyond...

As head of performance marketing, you will partner closely with our CEO and other functional areas: Brand, Ecommerce, Creative, Operations and Data Analytics teams to grow our brand into the next household name in training gear and apparel. The right candidate will have an expert understanding of the fundamentals of ecommerce and optimizing for both acquisition and retention. This is a great opportunity for someone to make their mark on a high-growth business. We are a younger company, so no job is too big or too small for any of our team members.

The VP, Performance Marketing will:

  • Launch, test, iterate, scale, repeat.
  • Own the channel strategy and management across the performance marketing mix, including paid social, search, display, affiliates, sponsored content, email marketing, direct marketing, connected TV, podcasts & more.
  • Oversee performance marketing programs with a focus on core metrics, testing & optimization while staying on-brand.
  • Create, execute, and maintain KPIs as well as communicate trends, insights, and challenges across the organization.
  • This role will ensure the customer's journey from advertisement to conversion is on brand and effective in meeting performance marketing objectives.
  • To drive effective performance marketing strategies that ensure both short and long term profitable digital marketing investments.
  • To set goals for, and champion, best-in-class customer retention and acquisition marketing strategies.
  • Drive the adoption and utilization of digital marketing dashboards and reporting; ensure they are up to-date and accurate at all times.
  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests to lower CAC and increase conversions.
  • Develop innovative CRM and email marketing strategies utilizing customer cohort data to build on customer LTV.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize the user experience.
  • Partner with the ecommerce team and leverage performance marketing analytics to evaluate the end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Own the relationship with all performance marketing vendors & agencies.
  • Manage and align media buying team members to ensure best in class performance and results.
  • Implement marketing attribution capabilities including media mix modeling and multi-touch attribution as well as build out and advancement of these capabilities for use in planning and day-to-day channel management.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s in related field or equivalent
  • 7+ years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in digital/performance marketing experience
  • Comfortable working in a diverse environment with the ability to deal with ambiguity while adapting easily to rapidly changing business conditions
  • Find creative ways to solve complex issues among demanding parties and achieve “win-win” resolutions
  • A high degree of self-confidence and perseverance and can earn the confidence of others
  • Experience in the fitness and/or apparel industry a plus
  • A passionate leader with a drive to test and win
  • An effective communicator who knows how to build teams and inspire team members to output their best work and seek collaboration to drive toward common goals
  • Deep understanding and proven track record of managing acquisition and retention focused campaigns, strategies and benchmarks
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze complex data to make meaningful and actionable decisions
  • Experience working in Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Tiktok Ads, Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools, etc.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments/testing 
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.) and experience with BI platforms
  • Interest in looking outside the existing toolbox – comfortable evolving with the ever-changing landscape
