Staff Accountant – Construction – Base Salary to 80k/year – Alpharetta, GA

• Our client, a fast-growing Asset Manager, is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their construction division. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions within the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records on a regular basis.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to track project costs, expenses, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k - 80k/year range
• Yearly bonus plan
