Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, takes ownership of the month-end close process, and thrives in a fast-paced organization.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and partnering with leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & General Accounting of Senior Accountant:
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate account variances.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules.
Month-End Close & Analysis for Senior Accountant:
  • Lead assigned month-end close responsibilities to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
  • Develop financial analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
Compliance & Audit for Senior Accountant:
  • Support annual financial audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
  • Assist with tax preparation by compiling documentation for external CPA firms.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
Collaboration
  • Partner with operations and department leaders to support financial reporting and business initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff as needed and provide support across the accounting team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) preferred.
