Senior Accountant

Company: Pearl Holding Group

Location: Coral Springs, FL

Industry: Business Services / Insurance

Career Level: 5-7 years experience

Duration: 12 week contract - approximately mid-June to late September 2026 - covering a medical leave

Hours: 8:30-4:30 PM EST with 30 minute paid lunch

Work Arrangement: onsite during training, then potential for hybrid depending on experience

Compensation: $60-75/hr for Senior Accountants



Description: Successful and growing wholesale insurance business seeks Senior Accountant to join the finance team. 

Individual must be enthusiastic and willing to take on the challenge of a growing business, and have strong analytical, technical skills and ability to multi-task. 

The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for day-to-day accounting and reconciliations.


Primary duties include:

  • Prepare and record entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Day to day general ledger maintenance and transactions.
  • Conduct general ledger account reconciliations and assist with the monthly close and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and close process.
  • Manage day to day banking and accounts payable.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas on accounting and reporting matters.
  • Assist with the external audit. Prepare annual audit schedules.
  • Reconcile daily carrier accounting and bank transactions
  • Provide operational support to underwriting and claims department through calling in daily payments (i.e. ACH), monitoring insurer bank accounts for status of batches, NSFs, corresponding with bank on deposit corrections etc.
  • Perform monthly carrier reconciliations. Where applicable, assist with redesign and improvement of process.
  • Assist the Controller and CFO in responding to all accounting related matters with insurance carrier, including annual audit requirements, queries on transactions etc.
  • Perform accounts payable function. Enter and review vendor bills, bill checks, reconcile activity to vendor statements etc.
  • Bank reconciliations, journal entries, account reconciliations, credit card reconciliations; etc.
