Security Engineer

HiFyve has a client in Lincoln, NE that is hiring for a Security Engineer

Salary Range $80,000 - $100,000 per year + profit sharing

As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems to ensure the safety and security of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering and possess knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Audio Visual (AV) systems, Fire alarm systems, CCTV, security system access control, and nurse call systems.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain security systems, including Audio Visual (AV) systems, Fire alarm systems, CCTV, security system access control, and nurse call systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security systems with existing infrastructure and technologies.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for security systems issues.

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in security engineering.

Develop and maintain documentation, including system specifications, installation guides, and standard operating procedures.

Assist with the planning and execution of security system upgrades and expansions.

Conduct training sessions for staff on the proper use and maintenance of security systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience working with security systems, including Audio Visual (AV) systems, Fire alarm systems, CCTV, security system access control, and/or nurse call systems.

Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CPP, CISM) are a plus.
