As a cyber security engineer you will be responsible for:
Research and investigate cyber security vulnerabilities that are produced by security scanners or found by security engineers.
Do in-depth deep dives on vulnerabilities and their applicability for an application or a system.
Devise mitigation techniques for application and system owners.
Follow up on resolution of vulnerabilities with owners.
Build proof of concept for exploiting vulnerabilities and perform tests to verify such vulnerabilities.
Write code in terms of scrips and SQL statements
What we're looking for...
You're driven to pinpoint a problem and tenacious about finding a solution. You're organized and pay attention to details. You are the person that others rely on. You are accountable and follow through with a sense of urgency.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Strong analytical skills to interpret vulnerability data.
Experience performing cyber security-related compliance and vulnerability management tasks.
Experience in a wide range of application and vulnerability security tools including SAST, DAST, Port Scans, Open source scans and vulnerability agent scans.
Experience with application development and application security.
Excellent knowledge of vulnerabilities across different platforms and systems.
Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows and their vulnerabilities.
Knowledge of the cyber security domain.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
CISSP or similar certifications
Experience with Cybersecurity concepts like asset management, authorization, authentication, etc
Hands-on experience with Cybersecurity tooling such as vulnerability management tools (e.g. Tenable) and application scanning tools (e.g. Fortify or Blackduck)
Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and organize data and develop recommendations
Demonstration of strong technical and cybersecurity skills
