Property Maintenance Technician

Summary Objective
The purpose of this position is to engage in activities such as maintenance, repair, and renovation of City buildings; plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and masonry; sign painting; repair and maintenance of equipment; maintenance of airport grounds and facilities; and maintenance of storeroom inventory records.
This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
Requires five years of progressive experience in the maintenance and repair of structures, equipment and systems involved in municipal facilities; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
