Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading electrical engineering company specializing in energy-efficient consulting services, and they are on the lookout for an individual to join their team as Electrical Engineer in Columbia, ST Loius, and/or Kansas City, MO.
- Oversee multiple projects as Project Manager; smaller MEP projects may only require one project manager
- Participate in project meetings with clients
- Coordinate design specifications with internal MEP personnel and other project team members
- Manage utility company service requirements
- Conduct code research pertinent to each project
- Coordinate and manage office resources to meet project deadlines and budgetary constraints
- Develop project budgets, draft progress reports, and review invoices
- Conduct quality control and peer reviews of project designs prepared by colleagues
- Create one-line diagrams, estimate electrical service size and load calculations, and provide design narratives during the schematic design phase of projects
- Draft and refine project construction specifications
- Conduct NEC demand/load calculations, short circuit calculations, and voltage drop calculations
- Undertake power, lighting, and lighting control design tasks as necessary
- Review O&M manuals, shop drawings, and equipment submittals; conduct project site observations and punch lists
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (mandatory)
- 5+ years of experience in designing electrical systems for commercial construction
- Passed FE Exam
- LEED AP BD+C certification
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Project Management experience preferred, particularly in handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of NEC, IBC, and other building codes, as well as LEED/sustainability design criteria
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit drafting
- Specific experience in healthcare electrical design
- PE license desired, expected at a later date
- Familiarity with MasterSpec CSI format
- Knowledge of SKM and AGI software preferred
