Production Operator, 1st shift, starting at $20/hr

Savencia Cheese USA LLC is a premier producer of specialty cheeses and maker of the Alouette, Chavrie, Ile De France and Supreme brands.

Our Production Operator operates packaging equipment on our cheese production line. This includes using equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging and other steps along the production line. Hours are Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm, with weekends and overtime as required. Shift start time can vary depending upon production.

Pay is $20 per hour and up. Starting pay is commensurate with experience and education. Our employees are eligible for yearly bonuses, yearly increases, and shift differential.

Essential Duties of our Production Operator

• Sets up line, prepares paperwork, and assures readiness for production
• Communicates shift objectives and production targets with Team leads
• Conducts timely and efficient changeovers & washout following procedures
• Performs routine & preventative maintenance on equipment and makes recommendations
• Performs troubleshooting to determine causes and takes corrective action
• Maintains regular, predictable attendance
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Duties of our Production Operator

Skills & Requirements
Required Education and Experience

• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
• 1+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team to achieve objectives
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
