Job description

JOB IS LOCATED NORTH OF TAMPA, FL. GENEROUS RELOCATION PKG. IS PROVIDED.

Leading full service printing and converting plant in central FL is searching to hire an experienced Printing Production Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, guide, and direct employees to meet and/or exceed operational goals as well as monitoring performance, providing coaching, and ensuring staff development with 4 direct and up to 150 indirect reports operating 2 shifts.
  • Develop and manage the daily/weekly/monthly goals for the production depts. to ensure that company meets weekly capacity and scheduling and delivery requirements.
  • Monitor work, enforce productivity standards, resolve operational problems, and implement new procedures as required.
  • Assume leadership role in development and modification of new methods and equipment.
  • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for process changes, quality audits, system enhancements, and customer facing processes and product offerings.
  • Continuously identify areas for Process Improvements using data. Make adjustments, measure and evaluate results.
  • Report regularly on production status to senior level management.
  • Utilize company computer systems.
  • Budgetary responsibilities.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years' plant and/or production management experience in the printing industry. Offset sheetfed and digital printing experience preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of envelope printing and converting processes a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of narrow web flexography a plus.
  • Experience implementing and developing Continuous Improvement Practices to improve efficiencies, reduce waste and down times.
  • Excellent communication skills engaging with hourly and management personnel.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring and employee training skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing ERP systems, specifically Dynamics 365.
  • Budgetary experience.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Excel and Word.
