Residential Landscape Sales Representative

This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that include developing and coordinating new design projects from concept through final implementation. This position will require sales experience as well as organization, leadership, and communication skills. This position leads efforts for pursuing sales goals, designing, estimating, negotiation, and managing a variety of high-quality landscape projects.

Experience: 4-6 years of experience in sales

Tasks and Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Lead the designers based on client feedback and ensure the quality of work performed as per constructed agreement.
• Serves as a technical expert on all designs and determines design preferences, purpose, and function.
• Regularly visits construction sites to ensure the client's vision is implemented.
• Responsible for managing sales goals while reaching target profitability-based company objectives and budgets.
• Management and oversight of the sales process and support to overcome sales objectives.
• Establish and maintain relationships, and collections, and forge ongoing customer service.
• Work with clients, team members, and vendors to ensure we exceed client expectations.
• Meet with existing and potential clients to establish their needs and project requirements throughout the decision process.
• Perform site data collection and analysis.
• Calculate takeoffs for estimating projects, reviewing proposals and contracts and presenting to clients and closing the sale.
• Work with office, nursery and landscape teams to ensure complete client satisfaction during all phases of projects.
• Maintain a high level of quality, efficiency, and customer service.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, landscape design or architecture required..
• Experience with AutoCad is preferred but not required
• Construction experience is preferred but not required 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to hold people accountable 
• Experience with purchase orders
• Job cost experience 
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from direct report to accomplish objectives
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Ability to work flexible working hours, including Saturday work if necessary, and 24-hour on-call availability during and off-season peak. 

Physical requirements: 

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. The employee is also frequently required to move from one work site to another, communicate with others to exchange information and repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds daily or more and should do so in a sound and safe manner. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and move objects up to 50 pounds. This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
