Our core mission is to empower creators, whether they're businesses or individual freelancers, to thrive in their creative endeavours.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a mid-level music composer for a indie film project. The specific task involves creating professional and realistic sound effects for a chase scene in the film, where the characters will be wearing masks during the sequence. The work requires full immersion into the scene, and it is critical that the soundscape accurately reflects the intense atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Study and understand the script, storyboards, and director's vision for the chase scene to accurately capture the desired soundscape.
  • Record and create realistic sound effects for various elements of the chase scene, such as footsteps, breathing, environmental sounds, and any other relevant audio elements.
  • Ensure that the sound effects seamlessly integrate with the visuals and enhance the intensity and realism of the chase sequence.
  • Collaborate with the director and production team to ensure the sound design aligns with the overall creative vision.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience as a sound engineer, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in film, television, or similar media productions.
  • Proficiency in using professional audio recording equipment, sound design software, and post-production tools.
  • Excellent understanding of sound design principles, including Foley effects, ambiance, and audio sweetening.
  • Ability to create realistic and immersive soundscapes that enhance the viewing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
