Job Description

We are seeking an Information Systems Manager to join our team! 

The Castle Square Tenants Organization (CSTO) is a 501c3 non-profit that serves the needs of the residents of Castle Square Apartments as affordable housing and provide comprehensive programs and direct services that enable residents to improve their lives, and support a vibrant, healthy community.

The Information Systems Manager has the primary responsibility to oversee the Square Tech Computer Repair Business including managing all operational aspects of the business, ensuring a high level of customer service, supervising youth interns, and implementing a marketing plan for ongoing and new business.

The Square Tech Social Enterprise consists of repairing and refurbishing donated computers which are made available for a modest fee to underserved clientele and non-profit partners who otherwise would have limited access to computer technology.  The Enterprise also offers technical assistance to CSTO residents and other non-profits. It provides consultation for and contracts with non-profit organizations and community centers to set up, maintain and troubleshoot their computer hardware and technology systems.

Position Title: Information Systems Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, with employee benefits
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000​​​

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of CSTO Computer Repair Program
  • Works closely with Senior IT Program Manager to elevate and strengthen business plan and to develop short- and long-term goals as well as strategies.
  • Develops work plan and schedule for computer repair staff including interns and volunteers.
  • Setting and measuring goals and outcomes and facilitates data gathering and input.
  • Analyzes reports and makes recommendations and changes based on results.
  • Manages and meets program budget goals.
  • Plans and implements customer marketing strategy including identifying and securing new client opportunities.
  • Develops community and corporate partnerships as relates to Repair.
  • Develops and implements customer service plan to ensure a high level of service.
  • Co-managers Square Tech facility concentrating on the entry and business areas.

Interns and Staff Management and Development:

  • Supervises Computer Repair Staff including IT Technicians and interns.
  • Create individual work plans, conduct performance assessment and evaluation.
  • Utilizes evaluation tools and reports to provide feedback to interns and continue to develop career readiness skills.
  • Oversees payroll and funding source tracking for Computer Repair staff and interns.
  • Works closely with Senior IT Program Manager to select interns that demonstrate skills and knowledge to work in the enterprise.

Information Systems consultation:

  • Work with Senior IT Program Manager.
  • Provides consultations, diagnostics and repairs to other non-profits organizations and community centers to set up their own technology centers.
  • Manages clients that contract with CSTO to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot technology systems.
  • May lead or work on designated technology projects such as selecting file sharing and backup systems or selecting and securing IT equipment for CSTO.
  • Oversees Computer Recycling program.

Other Related Responsibilities:

  • Works with Development staff to obtain funds and grants to support program.
  • Collaborates closely with Senior IT Program Manager as well as other Program Managers.
  • Attends workshops, meetings, and functions both internal and external as relevant.
  • Participates and provides assistance as needed in CSTO organization wide events including marketing, technical assistance, preparing program participants for involvement.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in IT or other related fields
  • Ability to evaluate software and hardware.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • 3+ years of professional experience in managing information technology systems.
  • 2+ years’ leadership and staff management experience
  • 2+ years’ experience business management
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years equivalent experience in computer repair and information Technology
  • CompTIA Security + certified or equivalent to
  • CompTIA A+/Net certified or equivalent to
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic about working with urban youth and youth development experience.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
  • Works well with others and is team oriented.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Chinese and/or Spanish languages (preferred not required)
  • CORI and SORI checks required.
