Calibration Technician I

As a Calibration Technician (also known as Technical Support Specialist, Quality Control Technician), you'll travel to customer sites for calibration, repair, and technical support. You'll read quality control manuals and testing specifications, install accessories on test or calibration fixtures, regulate factors like current flow and temperature, and activate test or calibration equipment. You'll observe readings to identify functional defects and adjust calibration mechanisms using precision tools. You'll also prepare calibration certificates, process service report paperwork, and interact with other departments to resolve issues.

- Associate's degree from a junior college or technical school; and one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups; work with mathematical concepts; apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
