First Call Staffing is hiring for a Manufacturing Maintenance Tech in the Indianapolis area. This will be a possible full-time hire for the right candidate. Minimum 3 to 5 years experience.

Job Description

An industrial maintenance technician is responsible for carrying out various maintenance tasks, typically in a manufacturing environment. They install and inspect machines and electrical equipment and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure that industrial machines remain operational.

Job responsibilities include:

Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
General maintenance of facilities as needed.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Troubleshooting down equipment
Bending, crawling, climbing in and around equipment

Minimum Requirements:

Understanding of mechanical and electrical schematics
Demonstrate a high level of initiative
Work well as a group or solo

Preferred Capabilities:

High mechanical aptitude
Forklift experience.

As the Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, expect to cover a wide variety of needs on a daily basis. The position is an integral part for manufacturing upkeep, process improvements, new line installations, and technical support for the plant. You will be working either as a team or by yourself to fix or troubleshoot issues. You will also be asked to assist with new lines and machine installations. 1st shift hours Monday-Friday 7am to 3pm

The base pay is $28.00 + depending on skill set and experience.
