Salary: $55,000 - $60,000

Job Summary

 

The Manager of Aircraft Records is responsible to the President. The Manager is responsible for but not limited to ensuring aircraft, engine, and component maintenance historical records required by the applicable FAA regulations and IATA Standards are maintained in an efficient manner that allows for retrieval.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Manager, Aircraft Records responsibilities include the following:

  • Directing and supervising the Aircraft Records department staff, ensuring all Records Analysts are familiar with and conducting all duties of the department in accordance with the company Maintenance Operations Manual (MOM).
  • Maintain current files of aircraft maintenance log pages, aircraft work cards, all checks and parts control tags in Air Vault.
  • If there is data missing notify and coordinate with the customer and update data once its provided.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance constraints, Airworthiness Directive (AD) compliance and assembly status in DASH and Air Vault.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and provides consistent and complete historical records of all aircraft, engines, propellers, and related components, in Air Vault and DASH.
  • Assist in preparation of Records’ materials and/or reports requested by other departments or the FAA.
  • Investigates and corrects computer information problems and any other inaccuracies as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance constraints, Airworthiness Directive (AD) compliance and assembly status.
  • Maintain records and time standards of serialized aircraft parts and inspections as set forth by the Customer Maintenance Program and FAA Directives.
  • Monitor and review vendor records and logbooks on the engine, APU’s and Propellers and prepare necessary documents and tracking in maintenance tracking software for removal/installation of such.
  • Coordinate needed corrections on base station work packages.
  • Track and schedule Company's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP), and all other time limited items in the computerized maintenance tracking system. Execute monthly audits as required.
  • Managing the integrity of the records retention processes into Air Vault.
  • Overseeing the auditing of aircraft records for completeness.
  • Communicating with remote data entry points to ensure consistent procedures are maintained throughout the system.
  • Identify the self-audit team, updating the audit checklist, develop and implement corrective action, and ensuring a copy of the self-audit is maintained until subsequent self-audit is completed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

 

Job Qualifications

 

  • Current Airframe and Powerplant certificate, however not required.
  • Three years aircraft maintenance technical records experience.
  • Managerial background or three years supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of Pratt and Whittney, GE and Honeywell engines.
  • Previous experience with DeHavilland, Embraer and SAAB 340B aircrafts.
  • Understanding of Federal Regulation.
  • Attention to detail is imperative.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
