Field Technician Trainee – Memphis Stormwater Quality & Quantity (MSQ2)

Our Allworld Project Management MSQ2 service department is looking to fill two trainee positions from May 15 to August 15 Summer Semester 2024.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Position Summary:

The Field Technician Trainee is a part-time position (minimum of 30 hours weekly; $600 per week) (8:00am to 4:30pm) This position shall provide the trainee with real world experience along with multiple skills to progress in their field of study. This position involves performing field work often during inclement weather conditions and could involve high traffic areas as well as rural parts of the city. The trainee works alongside a lead inspector daily while also being afforded support from other Allworld associates with training, mentorship, shadowing opportunities and experiences to build a career. The trainee position is for one semester.

Join us as a Field Technician Trainee and play a pivotal role in collecting vital data on infrastructures and utilities. Training will be provided for qualified applicants.

The Field Technician Trainee will perform duties throughout the City and County to gather data vital for the engineering and design of systems. The job encompasses measurements of attachment heights, span lengths, angles, and more. No out-of-town travel required.

The job description and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Collect outdoor field data crucial for the engineering and design of systems.
  • Organize and present detailed data for each project including maps, notes, and digital photos.
  • Operate and look after essential equipment like tablet computers, digital cameras, measuring tools, and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Represent Allworld and its clients professionally both in the field and in office settings.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the project management team.
  • Uphold safety standards and work autonomously.
  • Must complete 10 hours of professional development training.
  • Assist with and identify process improvements.
