Sr. Report Writer / SSRS

Prime Care Technologies is a Managed Service Provider in the long-term healthcare space. We deliver integrated, on-demand technology to senior care operators. Based in Duluth, we are currently recruiting for a Sr. Report Writer/SSRS to join our development team.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible architecting, modifying, developing, writing, implementing and testing new and existing software program applications that integrate with existing networks within primeVIEW.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with Sr. Director of Product Management to develop custom reports for primeVIEW customers
• Understand purpose and use case of custom SSRS based reports
• Research and locate data in various source systems to support report requirements
• Ability to investigate data structure and create efficient extraction procedures
• Write T-SQL stored procedures to extract transform and load (ETL) data into report database
• Modify reporting Database schema as necessary
• Test and Improve query and report performance to efficiently produce result to customer
• Scope estimated time to complete reports based on requirements provided
• Communicate any changes to estimate during work so that customer can be informed.
• Updates existing software or develop new programs to address a specific need or solve a particular problem.
• Ensures timely & effective resolution of customer requests and project tasks
• Codes, tests and troubleshoots programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
• Maintains and modifies programs; makes approved changes by amending flow charts, develops detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
• Tests and develops programming modifications.
• Writes new program code using prescribed specifications.
• Evaluates interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
• Analyzes performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and final approvals.
• Confers with product management to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolves questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
• Writes and maintains programming documentation.
• Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
• Documents programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Ensures the development of the product matches the architectural design and development guidelines.
• May develop architectural designs that meet a number of criteria objectives, including feasibility, security, stability, performance, scalability, and cost.
• Provides solutions for difficult or critical defects or production issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, computer engineering or equivalent job related experience
• 5 or more years of experience as software report writer.
• Proficient using MS Outlook and MS Office Suite
• Strong ability to analyze information and recommend solutions.
• Prior experience in report design, debugging, documentation and testing process.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals and development process and requirements.
• Ability to analyze and develop flow charts, models, diagrams, and algorithms that instruct computers on what tasks to execute.
• Experience with architecting complex, multi-tier applications.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret moderate to complex business documents.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables including logic and scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
