We are a premier ISO9001:2015 CERTIFIED industrial repair and manufacturing facility. Our nationwide customer base includes power generation, industrial manufacturing, including heavy steel manufacturing, and municipal and processing facilities.
We are urgently seeking a skilled MACHINIST, with experience working in a motor repair shop.
All machinists are expected to set up and operate various machine tools, follow established methods and procedures, and meet critical tolerances necessary to machine an array of parts.
SUMMARY OF TASKING:
- Record all data necessary to produce expected service and/or design results, including sizing and illustrations
- Use measuring devices and techniques correctly to assure proper sizing
- Perform milling operations, such as drilling, tapping, boring, and conventional milling and lathe work, using various engine lathes (e.g., horizontal/vertical mills, horizontal/vertical boring mills)
- Understand materials and applications, as required
- Set up and perform tool-post grinding operations (e.g., precision surface facing), broaching procedures
- Use various handheld and stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to: band saws, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
- Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially eye/ear protection)
- Keep work area neat and clean, as directed by supervisor
- Assist other machinists in department, as directed
Desired experience:
- Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment
- Perform various metalizing (metal spraying) techniques, as needed
- Perform various welding operations, including set up and use of MIG, TIG, torch and stick welders
**Starting pay is commensurate with relevant knowledge/experience.**
- We pay the overtime rate for hours worked over 8 per day and all Saturday hours
- We pay the double-time rate for hours worked over 12 per day and all Sunday hours.

Must have a valid driver’s license and the appropriate state mandated minimum automobile insurance requirements. Driving company vehicles between plant locations is required.
Must be willing to undergo thorough background check.
