Payroll Tax Specialist

Position Overview:
Candidate will be responsible for all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and in filing local, state, and federal payroll tax returns. Proper calculation and reporting of tax liabilities, responding to questions and special requests from client companies and regulatory agencies, researching laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding. They will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of sales tax returns, W-2’s annually, and custom reports as needed. Candidate will be interfacing with client companies and need to provide exceptional customer service.
Background/Experience:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of related payroll or accounting experience
- Payroll tax administration is a plus
- Strong excel skills required - Interview will include competency test focused on demonstrating functions within Excel
- Professional, enthusiastic demeanor
- Customer service experience
- Ability to prioritize effectively and multi-task
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with MasterTax software
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
