Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Expeditor who is preoccupied with big questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to evolve as a species?

SUMMARY:Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Expeditor who will primarily be responsible for aiding Axiom's Procurement Director with ensuring that the company has the inventory it needs to function according to schedule. A successful Expeditor must have outstanding record-keeping.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with requisitioners to coordinate data required for purchase.
  • Work with new suppliers to establish payment terms and obtain all documentation for setup into the ERP system.
  • Update supplier information as needed into the ERP system.
  • Input purchase requirements into the ERP system
  • Work with Accounting and end-users to determine accounting codes for purchase requirements.
  • Look for ways to decrease shipping time.
  • Coordinate with production on priority projects.
  • Review, track, and update all orders in ERP system.
  • Communicate with suppliers and end-users about the status of orders.
  • Work with Receiving to ensure all shipments are delivered.
  • Solve any issues related to shipping delays.
  • Resolve any open Accounting voucher issues.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree preferred, but years of experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • 5+ years of direct working experience as an Expeditor or related work experience.
  • Ability to work with an ERP system (Preference for Costpoint experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Experience in aerospace industry preferred
  • Costpoint experience a plus
  • Preference given to candidates with demonstrated record of work at a start-up

Essential Functions

  • Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
