Imagine Staffing is recruiting for a Payroll Specialist on behalf of our client, a manufacturing facility. This is a temp to hire role offering competitive pay ($20-$25/hr) and a dynamic work culture!

Primary Functions & Responsibilities

Tasks That Will Lead You to Success

Verifies information on hourly timecards, i.e. dates, badge numbers, etc. Batches, logs totals and forwards for processing.
Prepares and calculates payroll adjustments, such as overages/ shortages, retroactive pay, grievance and/or arbitration proceedings, sick pay, vacation pay, jury duty, etc. Maintains logs of adjustments and forwards for processing
Maintain hourly vacation eligibility log. Responsible to review and approve or deny based on department liabilities.
Maintain and post department communications; update database as needed.
Prepares summary reports.
Assist with discipline process.
Understand and execute bargaining agreement, polices, and procedures associated with the union.

Requirements & Qualifications

AAS in Accounting or related field; relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
1 - 3 years’ of work experience in payroll processing and/or general accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
High volume payroll experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Kronos and/or UKG strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of relevant wage laws and tax regulations.
Excellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Excel software application.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
