  • Assess lateral channel migration potential, riverine and floodplain stability, and ecological function
  • Create maps, figures, and calculation sheets to present in reports and presentations to clients and regulators
  • Collaborate closely with a team of engineers and scientists to develop construction plans
  • Work on several projects simultaneously and delegate work to junior staff

Desired qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Geology with a focus in fluvial geomorphology
  • Understanding of stream simulation fish passage designs
  • Familiarity with habitat requirements of salmon species in Washington
  • Proficient in SRH-2D and SMS hydraulic modeling software
  • Experience with field surveying and site assessment data collection
  • WSDOT Fish Passage and Scour certifications
  • Construction and design experience

What We Prefer:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in fluvial geomorphology, physical geography, geology, civil/water resources engineering, environmental science, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with modeling sediment transport and sediment collection.
  • Licensed Geologist, or geologist-in-training titles

Reasons to join our team at PACE:
