Job Description

Provides residents and guests a positive and welcoming presence. Maintains and implements program policies and procedures. Provides and assists our customers and guests to comply with program rules, polices, and procedures and support best practices for quality improvement. Ensures privacy and confidentiality of information, protects the assets of the organization and acts with ethics and integrity. Aligns with and models the policies and values of Northwest Coastal Housing, CDC.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Ø  Acts as the onsite representative. Greets customers and guests, answers question and handles escalations.

Ø  Support and create resident opportunities through specific programs.

Ø  Ensures the facility is consistently clean, safe, and compliant with all applicable regulations.

Ø  Create partnerships with community service providers and agencies.

Ø  Organize social, recreational, and other on-site community-building activities.

Ø  Develops, updates, and maintains all required forms and policies.

Ø  Coordinates with other departments to ensure successful operations.

Ø  Manages vendor/contractor relationships.

Ø  Coordinate a minimum of two day per week afterschool and summer youth program.

Ø  Coordinates with property management staff to maintain housing stability and eviction prevention.

Ø  Mandatory monthly report to Executive Director

Ø  Attends community meetings and other meetings as needed. Some evenings as needed.

Ø  Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualification Requirements:

Mandatory Requirements:

Ø  High School or equivalent with experience and training to perform all job assignments.

Ø  Excellent customer service.

Ø  Food Handlers’ card Must attain within two weeks from hire date.

Ø  Philosophy and practice of continual improvement.

Ø  Ability to work productively with a diverse population with sensitivity to differences.

Ø  Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage conflict. Must be able to maintain a calm, empathetic and respectful demeanor.

Ø  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ø  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new computer programs.

Ø  Strong prioritization, time management, organizational and attention to detail with proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ø  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when we have food share program running

Ø  Ability to be adaptable and flexible.

 

Preferred Requirements:

 

Ø  Hospitality experience.

Ø  Project management experience.

Ø  Experience working with low income or homeless populations and people with disabilities.

Ø  Work with timekeeping software.

Ø  Bilingual (English/Spanish).

 

Physical Demands of Position:

 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility to move throughout the facility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required more than 50% of the work period while operating computer keyboard, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
