Surgery EVS Tech

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire an Environmental Services Tech in the Surgery Department.

Status: Full-time, Days, 40 hrs/wk

The Surgery Environmental Services Technician works with the surgical department team, adheres to principles of asepsis and environmental controls in the OR setting, collaborates and works bi-directionally with the OR, Materials Management staff and leadership. Is sensitive to patient privacy and confidentiality.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Surgical room setting: 1 year preferred.

Skills:

• Maintains an aseptic presence, understands the semi-restricted and restricted core and adheres to proper attire, masks, hair covering, etc. while in these spaces.
• Maintains surgical suite in an orderly, clean, and dust free through constant rounding and cleaning.
• Use proper and approved cleaning solutions on equipment.
• Reports problems to OR leadership immediately upon finding an issue
