Position: Medical Assistant

Location: Medical Center, San Antonio

Tricare Home Health, a family-owned agency, is seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assistant with a strong understanding of home health agencies. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with weekends and holidays off.

Responsibilities:

Daily office presence from 9 AM to 4:45-5 PM.
Proficient use of EMR computer systems and electronic medical records.
Answering phones and performing other clerical duties.
Assisting with insurance intake and patient authorizations.
Ordering and tracking medical supplies from local warehouses.
Collaborating with nursing staff.

Qualifications:

At least one year of experience in a similar role is preferred, but we are open to training candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to the role.
Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are highly desirable due to our diverse patient base.
