Kable Staffing is in urgent need of a Painter in Batavia, OH. This position is a full-time, Temp to Hire opportunity. This candidate will be responsible for the prepping and the painting of the metal parts. Should have knowledge of different coatings and application methods as it would apply to large weldments.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and obtain pertinent information from shop order and shop drawing regarding painting requirements.
- Set up and operate spray paint system and pressure-pot paint spray systems to apply prime coat and topcoat paints. Work with solvents, cleaners, paints and coatings
- Perform safe operation of standard forklift and overhead cranes for movement of materials.
- Perform housekeeping in the painting areas; maintain operating supplies for painting and perform routine maintenance of all tools and equipment required by this position.
- Assist in prepping, sanding and reworking paint.
- Follow standard work procedures.
- Adhere to all safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of experience as industrial or commercial painter preferred
- Requires agility and ability to move up and down and around.
- Required to stand and walk for long periods; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Have an eye for detail and understanding of the paint application
- ability to lift up to 50 Ibs.
