Elementary Principal

We're seeking an Elementary Principal to spearhead our Online School, someone deeply committed, whom has already integrated Live Virtual Teachers into their current educational environment. We're seeking an individual who has proven success in crafting an environment conducive to the success of Live Virtual Teachers within an Elementary School setting.
The Elementary School Principal assumes the immediate responsibility for the total operation of the school and its internal and external relationships and activities. The principal provides the educational leadership which enables the staff to meet the needs of all the students.The Elementary School Principal functions under the general supervision of the Director of Leadership and Accountability. The Principal shall report to this office on all matters concerning district policy and building procedure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the instructional program of the Elementary School.
- Seek ways to improve curriculum and teaching methods, and to coordinate the program with elementary programs as mandated by the Department of Education.
- Identify and strategically allocate all resources within the elementary school setting to maximize student learning.
- Provide proactive leadership to create a safe learning environment.
- Provide leadership in providing for differences in abilities, interests, and growth patterns of the students in the school.
- Promote extra-curricular and other intra-school activities.
- Assign professional and non-certified staff within the building.
- Organize and schedule classes with consideration for teacher competencies, space allotment and time.
- Provide for the orientation and supervision of beginning teachers or teachers new to the building.
- Encourage staff to develop existing capacities and to pursue additional learning.
- Cooperate with teacher training institutions in the assignment of student teachers to the building.

- Provide leadership in the selection of materials and equipment used by the staff, as required, to implement the program of the Elementary School and supervises the maintenance of records and inventories of all items pertaining to the educational program
- Keep well informed of educational developments that will enable him/her to provide dynamic leadership.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a valid Elementary or Principal K-12 Certificate.
- 3-5 years of administrative experience (preferred)
