Richfield Public School Academy, a charter school in Flint, MI, is hiring a Principal.ย ย 

Richfield Public School Academy is a 'Leader in Me' school, focused on building student leaders that are successful both academically and behaviorally. Applicants should have a passion for working with a diverse group of students, a creative and flexible classroom management system, and a dedication to teaching all students with the belief of 'Live to Learn, Learn to Lead'.ย 

We are looking for a principal with excellent leadership skills and a passion for education. To be successful as a principal, you must be compassionate and organized. A good principal manages the needs of both students and staff members to ensure that there is a productive learning environment.ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

Ensuring that academic policies and curriculum are followedย 

Developing and tracking benchmarks for measuring institutional successย 

Helping teachers maximize their teaching potentialย 

Meeting and listening to the concerns of students regularlyย 

Encouraging, guiding, and assisting student leaders and teachersย 

Meeting with parents and administrators regularly for problem resolutionย 

Enforcing discipline when necessaryย 

Providing an atmosphere free of any bias in which students can achieve their maximum potentialย 

Qualifications:ย 

Master's Degree or higher in Education or related fieldย 

Valid Michigan Administrative Certificate for K-12 Educationย 

3-5 years experience as a principal or in a senior position at a school.ย 

Experience in instructional leadership
