Position: Advancement & Alumni Relations Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Advancement
Length of Contract: 12 Months

Position Goals:
To assist in stewarding the school’s relationship with all donors and alumni through impacting their hearts for Christ while connecting them to the school’s mission and moving them toward financial support. To support excellent events that connect the school to the community and grow the list of eligible donors. To identify and cultivate relationships with new businesses, individuals, and organizations who can help financially support the mission and vision of Delmarva Christian Schools.

Responsibilities:
Development Relations
- Supports the Director of Advancement in pursuing relationships with and gifts from donors and local businesses interested in supporting the mission and vision of DCS
- Responsible for supporting key fundraising events to include the Annual Banquet, Annual Golf Classic, Annual Giving Day, and any other donor related events
- Identifies and cultivates relationship with sponsors for all fundraising events
- Meets with mid-major donors on a regular basis and tracks progress of the relationship cultivation with appropriate development software
- Responsible for the growth of the mid-major donor population
- Maintains contact with and develops grant proposals for foundations and corporations
- Works with “Royal Parent Connection” to assist in annual giving, special events, and other fundraising programs as needed
- Is an active and visible member of the school community through participation in school-wide events such as Royal Parent Connection meetings, extra-curricular events, and school-sponsored activities
- Operate from an “attitude of gratitude” always giving thanks for every gift - regardless of the size
Alumni Relations
- Leads the development of the Alumni Association in terms of members, programs, benefits, and alumni annual giving
- Oversees the development and management of all Alumni communication
- Responsible for the leadership of all Alumni Events
- Meets with key alumni on a regular basis and seeks long-term relationships with alumni to cultivate a mindset of “once a Royal, always a Royal”
- Helps Alumni find ways to support Delmarva Christian with their time, talent, and treasure
Database Maintenance & Management
- Supports the maintenance of donor database in an effort to keep all donor, alumni, and other ministry partners records accurate and up to date
- Responsible for printing, assembling, and mailing all Monthly Donation Receipts
- Works with Director of Advancement and Business Office to assemble and mail Annual Tax Statement
- Responsible for management of direct mail campaigns
- Supports the appeal, pledge reminder, and acknowledgement programs
