Machine Operator/Manufacturing

GL Staffing is one of the largest hiring and staffing companies in South of Florida. We recruit for a large factory located in Palm Springs Florida.

For this position we have the following shift available:

1st shift (from 7am to 3pm)

2nd shift (from 3pm to 11pm)

MACHINE OPERATORS- Functions

· Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.

· Change worn machine accessories, such as tools and brushes, using hand tools.

· Make minor mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines and notify supervisors when major service is required.

· Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.

· Operate machinery used in the production process.

· Clean equipment.

· Prepare raw materials for processing.

· Perform minor repairs to machines, such as replacing damaged or worn parts.

· Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.

· Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions.

· Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines.

· Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.

Skills:

AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING TASKS:

· Operation Monitoring — watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

· Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

· Operation and Control — controlling operations of equipment or systems.

· Critical Thinking — using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

· Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

· Troubleshooting — determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
