Software Developer - Integration & Analytics

At Rectangle Health, we believe that our team members are our most important asset. We grow our team by hiring the best-in-class talent. We encourage all employees to contribute their individual talents and ideas to strengthen our team, our brand, and our services. We promote a culture that serves to empower and motivate employees beyond the standard corporate rhetoric one might see on motivational posters. Employees understand their individual roles in serving our customers, and this clarity of purpose encourages high job performance.

About the Team

The engineering team is responsible for building healthcare payment, engagement and compliance solutions that provide medical and dental providers with the tools to manage the business side of healthcare. These tools help manage the new patient registration process, take point of care and post-care payments, and integrate transaction data into a provider’s practice management system. This is all done by adhering to well-known software development practices, such Scrum, TDD and peer code reviews. Our tech stack includes PHP/Symfony, Next.js, C#, Python, and native cloud solutions when applicable.

Position Overview

We are looking for a .NET Software Developer to join our Integrations & Analytics team. This position would be responsible for building software that interfaces with a variety of devices and tools used by Rectangle Health’s diverse client pool. Daily tasks can include working with Windows desktop environments, payment terminals, Android-based devices, third-party practice management systems, Amazon Web Services, GitHub, payment terminal certifications, and an ever-growing list of other technologies present in the IT and Healthcare industries. This is all accomplished through adherence to Agile development practices, such as daily scrum meetings, test-driven development, and peer-based code reviews.

As a member of the team, you will be writing code that runs directly on client machines or on devices in client offices. As such, the code you write will need to be highly stable and able to run without issue in a variety of environments. This calls for a detail-oriented developer capable of writing, fully testing, and maintaining high quality code. The work you do may include maintaining current systems, adding features to existing products, or aiding in the design and development processes for entirely new applications.

For Full-Time Employees we offer:
  • Competitive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Guardian Hospital Indemnity coverage
  • Life & LTD
  • 401(k) matching up to 3%

Primary Job Duties:

  • Build, test, debug, and refine software to produce required results.
  • Research novel software solutions for a variety of real-world challenges.
  • Conduct code reviews with other team members to maintain high code quality.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile development team.
  • Positive, team-player attitude.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET languages, such as C#.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and principles of Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Experience using GitHub or other Version Control systems.
