Job Description

Diversified Technical Systems (DTS), located in Seal Beach, is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic Marketing Coordinator with experience coordinating trade shows &/or events and supporting a wide range of marketing projects. Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinates DTS tradeshow/events calendar (approximately 12+ international and/or domestics events per year) and assists with booth reservations, developing ideas for booth layout & display items, ordering exhibitor materials, staff registration, packing show materials, coordinating with the shipping department on booth logistics.

• Support in organizing special events by managing invitations, selecting event venues, planning menus, handling Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), coordinating logistics, and more.

• Collaborates with marketing/sales on marcom projects, such as eblasts, newsletters, website content, brochures. May collaborate with marketing colleagues on ideas for campaigns, images, ads, newsletters, website content, etc.

• Assists in developing ideas for content, copy, and social media marketing campaigns with a focus on engagement and aimed at building the company’s online following across various online sources, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.

• Maintains a unified brand voice, including proofing content for consistency and correctness.

• Monitors social media activities, builds online engagement by responding to messages and comments on social media platforms. Consults with other departments as needed to craft professional and/or technically correct responses.

• Assists with photo shoots and video shoots. May schedule or coordinate with other departments as needed. ****

• Assists with digital asset management to organize photos, videos, and other marketing assets. ****

• Assists in the purchase of promotional items, branded apparel, and marketing materials. May research ideas, source vendors, manage inventory, and/or prepare items for shows.

• Assists with analytics and metrics to create reports to enable marketing to make strategic decisions.

• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as requested by DTS management.

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent education including college-level studies in marketing and previous experience (approximately 2+ years) in a marketing, sales support, or related position, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other related business discipline is preferred.

• Previous experience successfully coordinating trade shows and/or other events is necessary.

• Working knowledge of digital marketing strategies and marketing channels is necessary.

• Ability to write and edit marketing copy utilizing proper grammar, professional tone, and a creative mindset is necessary. Graphic design skills are a plus.

• Ability to effectively assist sales team and/or sales partners in a timely manner and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of individuals, are necessary.

• Demonstrated proficiency using various computer programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as, the ability to use a variety of specialty programs is necessary.

• Previous experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro) or similar digital media editing tool, as well as a working knowledge of HubSpot and/or Salesforce CRM is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to appropriately address, analyze, and document detailed information, effectively manage multiple tasks and projects following up as needed, meet deadlines, and communicate/work effectively with other departments in a professional, diplomatic manner is necessary.

Estimated Salary Range (as of Mar. 2024):

The estimated salary range listed below allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered, as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time. Any offer extended to a candidate or salary increase consideration for a current employee will be based on the individual’s unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity.

$25.00 - $35/hour DOE
