Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of John Deere Tractors and other heavy earth moving equipment that might break down.
- Mechanic repairs and adjusts hydraulic pumps
- Inspect, repair, and adjust diesel power units, hydraulic systems, injection valves and systems, and mold
boards.
- Must also inspect, adjust and repair gasoline and diesel tractors, and hydraulic and cable operated attachments
on tractors.
- Install, replace, and/or adjust filters, belts or similar objects to maintain equipment.
Qualifications / Competencies
- High school diploma or GED Required.
- 5 years’ experience repairing, maintaining, and operating John Deere Tractors and heavy machines such as:
Tractors, Dozers, Front End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, and Pan Tractors.
- Must have skills in the care and use of hand and power tools employed in all phases of heavy equipment
mechanical maintenance and repair work.
- Ability to diagnose defects in heavy duty equipment.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
