Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC motors, pumps, and generators. We are also open to training the right candidate who brings solid experience as a diesel mechanic or generator technician and demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn our specialized electric motor and pump repair processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair AC/DC electric motors, pumps, generators, and associated equipment.
  • Perform mechanical repairs including bearing replacements, shaft machining, alignment, and reassembly.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild rotating equipment to OEM standards.
  • Conduct field service calls for on-site repairs and installations (as needed).
  • Use precision measuring tools and follow detailed repair procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Assist with general shop maintenance and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Minimum 35 years of mechanical repair experience (industrial, diesel, generator, heavy equipment, or similar).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record (for field service).
  • Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in a shop/field environment.
Preferred (but not required):
Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs), gearboxes, or electrical systems.
  • Welding, machining, or rigging experience.
  • EPA or other relevant certifications.
