Finance Manager - Hybrid Onsite

JOB SUMMARY

Joining Ox as our Finance Manager means diving into a role where you'll spearhead the varied realms of our overall financial health at Ox. You'll create financial reports, direct investment activities, business and employment tax filings, and develop plans for the long-term financial goals of their organization through razor-sharp cost analysis. You will play a big part in steering the ship alongside cross-functional teams to ensure Ox reaches new heights and exceed our prosperity goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to analyze and project Ox's financial performance accurately.
• Provide strategic insights into key financial metrics, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, to support decision-making at all levels.
• Collaborate with department heads to create and manage budgets for various teams and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Regularly update financial forecasts in response to the company's growth trajectory and changing market conditions.
• Assist in preparing comprehensive financial documents and models for fundraising activities, particularly during series funding rounds.
• Partner closely with executive leadership to effectively communicate Ox's financial narrative to potential investors, articulating the company's value proposition.
• Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to operational and financial objectives, leveraging trends to drive actionable insights.
• Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives, products, or technology implementations, evaluating potential returns and risks.
• Identify opportunities to optimize costs while enhancing operational efficiency, maintaining a balance between expenditure and performance.
• Assess financial risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate potential impacts on Ox's financial health and stability.
• Lead the various aspects of business taxes to ensure compliance and optimize tax efficiency, timely filings, and compliance.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that could influence Ox's financial position and strategic direction.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders and external parties, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Effectively communicate financial results and insights to non-financial team members, facilitating informed decision-making across the organization.
• Collaborate with operations and technology teams to understand the financial implications of AI and technology implementations, guiding investment decisions accordingly.
• Stay informed about advancements in AI and technology that could impact the industry landscape and Ox's financial strategies.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any financial compliance issues promptly and effectively, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A bachelor's in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in operations, accounting, and financial analysis preferably in a high growth technology startup.
• 3+ years experience in tax preparation, planning, filings, compliance, record keeping and documentation.
• 2+ years experience leading a team with performance management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success in GAAP and financial compliance.
• Provide strategic guidance regarding FP&A and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills and presence to effectively convey financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to think strategically, analyze complex problems, and make informed decisions to drive Ox's total strategy.
