Medical Office Clerks

for JB Elmendorf-Richardson, AK

Hours are 7:30am-4:30pm

SUMMARY:

Provides clerical/administrative support. Schedules appointments, In addition to scheduling requested appointments, this position will call patients to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments as needed, to include appointments for consult/referral specialty care,

QUALIFICATIONS:

Mandatory knowledge and skills:

• · A fully qualified typist (computer keyboard) with a minimum of 50 WPM is required.
• · General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
• · General office administrative and clerical skills to perform receptionist duties and answer telephones.
• · Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Education:

• · High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
• · Medical terminology desired, but not required.

Experience:

• At least 6 months experience in an office setting.
