Job Description
Our client is looking for an IT Project Manager that oversees the comprehensive management of three or more large-scale projects spanning the entire Project Lifecycle, including:
- Creation/Approval
- Monitoring/Adjustments to Plan/Reporting
- Implementation/Acceptance
- Closure/Postmortem Reviews
- Responsible for establishing and executing project management processes and methodologies for strategic projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, high-quality standards, and meeting customer expectations.
Tasks include:
- Crafting and approving project plans and team assignments
- Continuously assessing project progress and directing daily work efforts
- Identifying resource requirements and conducting quality reviews
- Escalating issues appropriately
- Maintaining all project documentation
- Tracks key project milestones, adjusts plans/resources as necessary, and monitors financial and corporate portfolio impacts.
- Coordinates communication across all enterprise areas affecting project scope, budget, risk, and resources, updating stakeholders on project status and managing stakeholder and executive sponsor expectations. Facilitates Steering Group and/or Executive Group level team status meetings and other communications.
- Identifies and mitigates project risks, issues, and changes, proactively suggesting solutions. Proficient in overseeing large, complex, diverse, and strategic projects impacting the organization as a whole.
- Operates in a combined Agile and Waterfall environment, working in 3-week sprints.
Overview of Responsibilities:
ServiceNow Asset Management:
- Effectively manage and optimize the organization's assets through the ServiceNow platform.
- Implement and maintain asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Track and report on asset utilization, lifecycle, and compliance.
Configuration Management:
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure accurate configuration data within the ServiceNow CMDB.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all IT assets and their relationships.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance for management review.
- Document asset-related processes and procedures.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between asset management and overall IT service management strategies.
- Liaise with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate financial tracking of assets.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the ServiceNow Asset Management module.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies related to asset management.
Requirements:
Experience:
- 3-4 years of experience in ServiceNow Asset Management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing assets in a complex IT environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in using the ServiceNow platform for asset management.
- Familiarity with configuration management and CMDB best practices.
Communication:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or 4-6 years of related field experience.
