Quality Control Manager

Precision Hose and Expansion Joints is a leading manufacturing company in the metal hose industry, known for our commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic Quality Control Manager to oversee our quality team and manage the entire ISO 9001 quality system.

As a Quality Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the high standards of our products and leading quality assurance initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Managing a team of 4-5 QC technicians, providing guidance and oversight to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with industry standards.

- Overseeing the entire ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, including its implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

- Conducting high-level quality audits and analyses to ensure alignment with company specifications and industry regulations.

- Developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards to enhance product quality and efficiency.

- Leading the resolution of quality issues by coordinating with production, engineering, and management teams to implement effective corrective actions.

- Training and mentoring QC technicians in quality control best practices and use of measuring tools, including dial calipers for precise measurements up to 0.001 inches.

- Reviewing and maintaining quality documentation and records to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Hands-on approach to quality.

- Assisting in maintaining an ISO 9001:2015 QMS.

- Familiarity with Corrective/Preventative Actions.

- Conducting Customer based Supplier Surveys and Vendor Evaluations.

- Overseeing Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspections.

- Managing Material Test Reports (MTR’s) and Certificates of Conformance (COC’s).

- Ensuring compliance with customer requested compliances, including REACH, RoHS III, Conflict materials, PFAS, Prop 65, TSCA, etc.

- Performing Internal Audits.

- Overseeing measuring tool calibrations.

- Pluses would include experience with PPAP’s, PFEMA’s, etc.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is a plus but not required if have 2-5 years of direct experience in this position. 

- 5+ years of experience in quality control, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

- Strong knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 quality management system.

- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.

- Proficiency in using measuring tools, Microsoft Office, and quality control software.
