Object Construction is a leading Scenic Fabrication Company, specializing in bringing creative visions to life through innovative fabrication techniques. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee our fabrication department and ensure the highest quality of our products.

Position Overview:

The Fabrication Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and on time. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating with department managers, and ensuring quality standards are met. A strong understanding of construction management principles, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination, is essential.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the entire production effort, including pre-production, fabrication, painting, wrapping, labeling, manifesting, shipping, and installation, using construction management techniques.

  • Work with the Project Manager to develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring accurate timelines, task dependencies, and proper resource allocation.

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with project schedules and requirements.

  • Implement quality control measures throughout the production process to ensure projects meet established standards and specifications.

  • Work with Project Management to coordinate subcontractors on assigned projects, ensuring their work aligns with project timelines, quality expectations, and safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular reviews of project drawings, construction plans, and material specifications to ensure feasibility and accuracy before distribution.

  • Facilitate coordination between departments, ensuring smooth communication and efficient workflow from design to fabrication and installation.

  • Work with Production Managers to source and purchase materials, ensuring orders are accurate, cost-effective, and delivered on schedule.

  • Inform and work with Project Management regarding project equipment rentals, transportation needs, and logistics to support timely delivery and setup at job sites.

  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor production progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Work with Project Management to maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and change orders, to track progress and ensure transparency.

  • Manage the project closeout process, ensuring all aspects are completed to specifications and conducting post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in scenic fabrication or a related construction/production environment. (preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Proficient in project management software and construction scheduling tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate complex, multi-phase projects.

  • Strong leadership qualities with experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear project reports and documentation.

  • Comprehensive understanding of construction materials, methods, and equipment.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, stand 4-8 hour a day, and be able to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use.

  • Must hold a valid Driver's licence and be able to travel to job sites throughout the country
