Senior Accounting Professional

Benefits start 1st of the month following 30 days of employment

1. Oversee the activities of the Fiscal Department including Accounts Payable: processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, expense reports, cash control, payroll processing backup, corporate payroll tax compliance & Accounts Receivable: management of aging components including billings, cash receipts; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management – ensuring A/R and A/P are reconciled monthly to the General Ledger.
2. Review and reconcile Medicaid billing for all services.
3. Review weekly check runs
4. For all properties owned by NHS and NHDS enter monthly entries supplied by Management Company; complete Property tax preparation
5. Post payroll and other entries needed for month end preparation for NHS financials.
6. Prepare program evaluation quarterly for the Fiscal Department.
7. Participate in a wide variety of special projects and Assist Controller and CFO as needed.

1. Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and banking working knowledge
2. High level of computer proficiency - spreadsheet proficient (hardware and software) Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and other Data Base programs)
3. Experience with the following platforms is preferred – Nav 2013, INTACT, ADP, and Vertex software
4. Strong time management skills
5. Contractual negotiation a plus

EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
2. Must have 3 years of hands-on accounting experience
