Inventory Specialist | Furniture Repair

JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Folklore’s inventory goes out at its best. The position is responsible for ‘caring’ for all inventory including cleaning and prepping, replacing and repairing and maintaining all inventory standards. The Inventory Specialist will lead the inventory team and work closely with the warehouse team, the buyer and outside resources, vendors ad fabricators. The Inventory Specialist is the “know it all” of Folklore inventory. Our team takes pride in ensuring the accuracy, care, and efficiency of inventory management for our clients. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Acting as an expert on a broad range of rental furniture care solutions and products to inform and train the inventory team
• Work with sales on upcoming orders, inventory needs/concerns, requests and questions.
• Serve as the quality control expert, evaluate inventory pre and post event for touch up paint, wood trim repairs and spot cleaning (leather, upholstery, wood)
• Create and manage inventory log with warehouse unloading schedule and pull tickets
• Communicate with outside vendors for fabrication, maintenance and material
• Provide guidance and continued training to team members to ensure quality
• Identify, recommend, develop and implement improvements in inventory, quality control and new processes and systems for inventory
• Check-in and assemble new inventory.
• Perform hand shampooing and steam cleaning of upholstery.
• Prep, Sand, Trim, Paint, Stain wood inventory

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 years prior experience with similar responsibilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Managing one's own time and the time of others to ensure deliveries are made on schedule
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others
• Critical thinking by using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusion, or approached to problems

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exerting 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25 -50 lbs. force frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are greater than that required for Light Work
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, and sitting
• Recurrent climbing, balancing, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and handling
• The job is performed primarily indoors
